Who is Cara Luna?

Cara Luna Designs was set up in October 2020 by artist and designer Cara Rose. Since graduating the National College of Art and Design with a degree in Painting and History of Art in 2016, Cara has been exhibiting artworks in the likes of the RHA, RUA and in the National Gallery of Ireland. What is Cara Luna about?

Cara Luna Designs is a studio that holds eco-friendliness, inclusivity and non-binary representation as core values to strive toward and uphold.

Cara Luna Designs is working toward a collection of designs that encompasses characters not often seen in illustrations in Ireland - those who identify as non-binary, members of the LGBTQ+ community and ethnic minorities. The studio will be constantly working to be more inclusive, more body-positive and representative of the population.

Irish-made and Recyclable

As much of the design studio materials as possible are eco-friendly and Irish-made. High-quality recycled card, paper and envelopes, and biodegradable plastic pockets are used for all cards and illustrations. Shipping and packaging are plastic-free where possible, reusing packing and boxes. All paper, card, envelopes and biodegradable film pockets are sourced Ireland. This applies to all products except larger Fine Art Prints, where products are packaged using recycled and reused plastic. Customers are encouraged to save any packaging from Cara Luna Designs and recycle or reuse it where possible!
